Building Better Brakes – DBT GROUP FOR ADHD with Erica Frankel
Dr. Hallowell tells people with ADHD that they are lucky to have a brain that is like a FERRARI ENGINE, powerful and fast. There is only one problem, they have BICYCLE BRAKES to control that powerful brain.
DBT ( Dialectical Behavioral Treatment) is a proven, effective intervention for individuals with ADHD , allowing your brain to be both powerful and efficient DBT targets symptoms of ADHD including:
- Inattention
- Impulse control
- Procrastination
- Task Initiation and Task completion
- Coping skills for anger and frustration
- Self-regulatory skills
- Interpersonal skills when conflict arises
- Effective communication
DBT is useful for individuals with ADHD who are looking to improve:

The DBT for ADHD skills group at the Hallowell Center is structured based on the 4 modules. Each module has 4 skills, for a total of four group sessions per module. In total, the group meets for 16 weeks, every Monday from 6:30-7:45pm beginning May 14th, 2018.
Participants can sign up by module, or sign up for the entire group.
Each module is $300 and the entire group is $1,200.00
